Improved labour market environment through capable and motivated professionals

ILPP is happy to share some of the information related to the ongoing project, titled Improved labour market environment through capable and motivated professionals. 

This project is supported by the Embassy of the Netherlands in North Macedonia and it is implemented by the Institute for Leadership and Public Policy.  The main aim of this project is to  bring professional development by presenting new approaches in the labour market and by building economic independence of young people. 

Some of the activities include research analysis, internship work, training courses, mentorship and public campaign. These activities will contribute to fulfilling the specific objectives: 

• Introducing a newly designed approach of internship and practical work for young professionals; 
• Improving and strengthening relations between the demand and supply of workforce, connecting point in the labor market; 
• Providing reliable data for the offer and demand in the labor market for the region of Polog;
• Creating a system for continuous training of specific target group, aimed at development of professional soft-skills;
• Creating a positive environment for change and hopefulness, by changed behavior of employers and jobseekers in the labor market;
• Tackling challenge of immigration by skilled youth; and 
• Motivating and encouraging youth in acquiring professional knowledge, besides formal curricula, prior to approaching the labor market.
