Empowered Youth – Resilience Economy was an EU-funded initiative aimed at strengthening the economy of the Polog region by investing in the potential of local youth. Through direct action, the project delivered measurable outcomes that enhanced both youth employability and regional economic resilience.
Over the course of the program, 40+ young people gained hands-on experience and practical skills through targeted workshops and training sessions. Participants were equipped with the tools needed to succeed in today’s competitive job market, improving their employability across various sectors.
ILPP spearheaded efforts to raise awareness among local youth and the broader Polog community about employment opportunities and professional development resources. The project not only connected participants with immediate learning experiences but also provided them with ongoing support to foster long-term career growth.
In addition, ILPP conducted an in-depth research survey to identify the specific needs of youth in the local labor market. This analysis pinpointed key skill gaps and informed the development of tailored training programs. The results of the research were published and made publicly available, offering valuable insights to both policymakers and local organizations working to support youth development.
Through this project, the youth of Polog were empowered with both the knowledge and skills needed to thrive, while also contributing to the broader goal of a more resilient and sustainable regional economy.
