Training: Women from Municipality of Tetovo
Apr 29, 2022
This training is part of the project: Increased participation of women in politics in North Macedonia
Increased participation of women in policy-making and decision-making in Northern Macedonia, not only through legal quotas but also through meaningful advocacy, are the key elements in all project activities supported by the British Embassy in Northern Macedonia.
At the training conducted with over 25 women from the Municipality of Tetovo—some of whom are members of the Municipal Council, others important parts of the municipal public administration, and others still prominent activists—two training modules were held on March 11, 12, 18, and 19, covering topics such as good governance, accountability, activism, leadership, and public speaking.
In an atmosphere of open discussion with selected lecturers, the participants were enriched not only with knowledge on the respective topics but also with increased confidence that women, especially those in public roles, can and should be part of driving change. The cooperation with the Municipal Council will continue with increased intensity.
An added value of the training was the networking and closer acquaintance among participants, which encouraged valuable exchanges and ideas for broader contributions to society.
