CodeGirls Academy and EngeWomen Academy – a promising step for girls in IT and Engineering
Over the past period, we have been working hard on our project, “WomEntrepreneurship: IT and Engineering at Their Strongest!”, which aims to empower and support young girls to pursue their dream careers—even in fields that are traditionally considered “non-typical” for women. The project also aims to help them find better opportunities in the labor market.
We are working with 10 successful women from various fields to produce a series of videos that will serve as a roadmap for young girls—guiding them on how to achieve success and how to persevere when the odds are against them. In December, we conducted two academies. The EngeWomen Academy, focused on girls in the engineering field, was held at the University of Tetovo. At the same time, the CodeGirl Academy took place at South East European University. In total, more than 43 young professional women had the opportunity to strengthen their skills and knowledge in these fields.
Currently, together with a group of experts, we are building a platform where we will launch our next activity. We are excited to share that ILPP will be hosting the first virtual Career Fair in North Macedonia, enabling young women to connect directly with companies and organizations operating both nationally and internationally.
When there is hard work, passion, and dedication—anything is possible! Stay tuned and don’t miss our journey to success.
