Tetovo University, March 23, 2023

On March 23, 2023, ILPP, together with the American Corner Tetovo and Tetovo University, organized the panel discussion “Women in Business: Advantages, Challenges, and Opportunities” as part of the activities marking Women’s History Month. The event was honored by the presence of the Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in North Macedonia, Eric Meyer.

Experienced and accomplished panelists—including Mrs. Suzanne Machacz, Senior Director at Bayer; Selvie Shaqiri, a successful entrepreneur; Artina Kamberi, Director of the Tech Park at the University of Tetova; and Pranvera Kasami, Executive Director of ILPP—addressed the audience, which included the Rector of the University, distinguished professors and staff, as well as students and members of civil society organizations.

In his remarks, DCM Meyer emphasized that “advancing the rights of women and girls—including education and economic opportunities—is both a moral and a strategic imperative.”

Bringing together intersectoral communities such as this is of crucial importance in maximizing impact when it comes to fulfilling the intellectual potential of women in society and supporting younger generations of women and men in promoting equality and equity.
