H.E. Kate Marie Byrnes, U.S. Embassy North Macedonia handed the certificates in person to young women professionals
"We cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future." — Franklin D. Roosevelt
H.E. Kate Marie Byrnes, representing the U.S. Embassy in North Macedonia, personally handed out certificates to twelve of the young women professionals who successfully completed the training program. These twelve recipients are part of a larger group of fifty young women who were trained and mentored through the project, all aimed at strengthening their knowledge and enhancing their capacities in employment skills. The program also focused on improving their connections with the labor market, equipping them with the tools they need to succeed professionally.
This certificate awarding activity was a significant milestone within the larger scope of the project titled "WomEntrepreneurship: IT and Engineering at Their Strongest." The project strives to empower young women in fields traditionally underrepresented by females and help them break through barriers in the professional world.
Due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions and safety measures, the remaining participants—those who were unable to attend the in-person certificate ceremony—received their certificates individually at our premises. This approach ensured that all participants were recognized for their hard work while adhering to health guidelines.
